World 7-1

Natural vs Learned

Learning to be a Natural at t1d

Fish n’ crustaceans,

across the nations,

be cruisin’ the H-2-O,

from Japan to San Diego

(Watch out for my new rap album – dropping soon at all good CD stores.)

Getting Natural

We can imitate ‘expert’ animals.

Fly like an eagle (good song); drill like a mole (not a song – yet); climb like a gecko.

A fish is a natural pro at swimming

We’ll never be as good as they are, but that’s ok.

Pretending (poorly) to be a fish

Practice makes perfect (or better, anyway)

99% of non-diabetics have likely never thought about controlling their BGL. Their 2 big advantages IMO are: 1) great BGL control; 2) they don’t think about their great BGL control.

The more I’ve learned over the years, the better overall my BGL control gets. And – I hope – the less and less I think about it (while still being sensible).
